Established in 1994, Collective was founded by the late Ed Taylor, a visionary entrepreneur. Collective was formed to address the challenge brought by the growing complexity of IT technology through the active collaboration and sharing of the best minds in our industry. We’ve remained true to our original goals and have expanded upon Ed’s vision by developing proprietary automation technology and proven methodologies.

Collective has successfully delivered over 8 million hours of consultative services to thousands of customers across a wide range of industries. The average tenure of our principal and senior consultants is 19 years. Jason E. Thomas, PhD, CISM, CISSP

President

Bringing more than 30 years of technology and cybersecurity experience to Collective Group, Jason Thomas provides strategic leadership to the company and manages daily operations. He has a substantial background in business operations, sales and business development, product development, information/cybersecurity, and strategic alliances. Before joining Collective in 2000, Jason was in charge of operations for Agilisys’s Backup and Recovery Practice and led IBM Global Services Storage Consulting Practice. Additionally, Jason spent nine years in the United States Army assigned to the National Security Agency as a Military Intelligence Cryptologic Linguist specializing in electronic warfare operations (cybersecurity).

Having attended the National Security Agency Cryptologic Services School (NSA/CSS), graduating three times from the Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center (DLI, FLC) at the Presidio of Monterrey, and several traditional universities such as Texas A&M-Jason is a staunch advocate for higher education and remains a lifelong learner. He commits volunteer time as a mentor, guest lecturer, and adjunct instructor in business and cyber security for higher-education institutions such as Texas A&M University, Concordia University – Texas, Excelsior College, and Grand Canyon University. Jason holds bachelor’s degrees in Business Information Systems and Liberals Arts with a concentration in Eastern European Languages, graduate certificates in Information System Security, Digital Forensics, and Homeland Security, master’s degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Public Service & Administration (MPSA) in Homeland Security, and IT Information Assurance and Security (MSIT), and a doctorate (PhD) in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing Strategy; he holds several IT and cybersecurity certifications including the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Trey Davis

Vice President of Professional Services

Trey Davis brings over 25 years of staffing and management experience to Collective. As one of Collective’s original corporate recruiting team members, he understands the value of selecting the very best talent to represent Collective to our valued clients and Partners. As Vice President of Professional Services, Trey is responsible for Pre-Sales, Account Management, Project Management, Staffing, and Services Delivery. Key to Collective’s success is the leadership role Trey plays in managing the integral relationship between our Consultants, Partners, and clients to ensure successful delivery and exceed customer expectations.

Bill Huff

Chief Technology Officer

Bill has over 25 years of IT infrastructure experience developing process and procedures for automating the day-to-day management of heterogeneous environments. Joining Collective in 1995 as one of Collective’s original team members, he helped build and manage Collective’s presence in New England, working with large customers such as Fidelity and State Street Global Advisors. He then served seven years as Collective’s Director of IT, driving the creation of a complete web-centric Oracle-based PSA and accounting system that allows our consultants to securely access critical business information from any location. Bill then led the development team that created Collective’s Managed Infrastructure services, personally creating the Remote Administration and Management Platform (RAMP) appliance and the backend infrastructure needed for securely monitoring and managing remote client environments.

Prior to Collective, Bill worked for Digital Equipment Corporation as a member of the DECAthena project, and The Registry, Inc., where he designed and implemented the Registry’s IT infrastructure. Bill served as a hardware technician in the US Army for 7½ years. Bill holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

Gordon Galligher

Vice President of Managed Services

Gordon brings over 30 years of experience to Collective in the areas of technology and business process management. As a co-founder of Collective in 1994, Gordon helped to build the initial consultative-based methodologies all Collective consultants use in the delivery of their services for Collective’s customers. Gordon has an extensive background in information systems and enterprise infrastructure and has helped a number of companies with technology roadmapping, software engineering, quality assurance, sales support, customer service, and process improvement. At Collective he is responsible for the Managed Services business unit. Prior to joining Collective, Gordon was a member of the CTO Leadership team and Vice President of Software Engineering for Datran Media. He oversaw the development of new product features and ongoing product management functions. Prior to Datran, Gordon held positions as Vice President of Sales Operations and Customer Service at TriActive and Director of Operations at Coremetrics.
